Athletics Carnival Friday 10th May

Narara Valley High presents their 34^th Athletics Carnival held at Mingara Regional Athletics Centre is a world-class synthetic track and field athletics centre on Friday 10th May.

PROGRAM

8.00am:

Track Events - 400m, 800m, 1500m, 800m Walk

(Students competing will need to arrange their own transport. Entry to Mingara $5)

9.05am:  

Chartered buses depart NV and arrive at Mingara 9.45am (Students catch their usual bus to school.)

Cost for the carnival is $10 which covers bus travel ($5) and entry into the Athletics Centre ($5). No online payment will be available. Could all students bring the $10 which will be collected prior to leaving school.

10.05am:

Main carnival begins. Six 30min events for each age groups. (High Jump, Long Jump,

Discus, Shot Put, 100m sprint, 200m sprint and Relays)

Javelin will be conducted at school. Date to be announced.

1.35pm:

Conclusion of Carnival and buses return to NV.

Extra participant information.

• If students need to leave early, they will need a note explaining why.
• Students are not permitted to “come and go” from the venue [e.g going to McDonalds].
• Students should prepare for the possible changing weather conditions during the day.
• The Mingara canteen will be open for students to access food and drink.
• School PE uniform should be worn augmented with house colours.
