Year 6 to 7 Transition Program

Starting high school is an exciting time, for students and their parents. We would like to welcome all our new and existing families to Year 7, 2025 at Narara Valley High School. Outlined below is the Orientation Program.

Taster Lesson Program - Specialist Programs

If your child has been selected in one of our Specialist Programs, they are invited to participate in a Taster Lesson.

Your child is invited to participate in the Taster Lesson with Narara Valley High School on the day that is set in the table below for your child’s primary school.

Please note - if your child is in the Specialist Programs of STEP, CAPA and TSP, they are welcome to attend both the day of their allocated school and Specialist Program day.

Connecting Program

Primary School staff will nominate students to participate in additional transition day throughout Connecting Program day. This extra day provides identified students with another chance to orientate them with our school and will allows staff to assist and support students through this transition process.

First Nations Transition Day

First Nations students will meet our Wellbeing staff, Aboriginal support staff and many of our existing First Nations Students.

Planned activities:

  • Acknowledgment of Country
  • Morning tea at the school farm
  • School tour
  • Cultural activity - story sharing
  • STEM activities in the Lab
  • BBQ lunch with all our Mob

Orientation Day

All students in our Year 7 cohort for 2025 are invited to attend in order to find out more information about high school. Parents are to organise transport for their child to and from Narara Valley High School. Students are to meet out the front of the school at 8:45am and to be collected from the same location. Attend in their full primary school uniform.

Year 7 Camp 

Narara Valley High School will scheduled a Year 7 Camp for 2025 at the Great Aussie Bush Camp, Tea Gardens. Information will be sent home later in the year with your enrollment packs. 

Uniform Shop

The uniform shop is available at the school office, 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday) from 8.00am to 2.00pm during the school term.

It will be open for extended days (Monday to Friday) during Term 4, 2024. After hours bookings will be announced closer to the date.
